Scottish Enterprise (SE) is Scotland’s national economic development agency. We help Scottish businesses to grow nationally and internationally, to become more efficient and innovative, and to access the funds they need to develop. We also attract overseas companies to invest in Scotland.

The difference you'll make

You'll provide strategic impartial advice to SMEs, large scale and micro businesses, in both one-to-one sessions and workshop environments. Using a variety of toolkits, you’ll review their existing IT plans to spot growth opportunities and help improve efficiencies with the use of technology.

You could be encouraging better use of data to empower management to make more informed decisions, refining product design to meet specific needs, or simply streamlining operations. To keep your knowledge of emerging technologies up to date, you will be offered various CPD opportunities.

This role offers the chance to make a strong impact on the development of Scotland’s economy. Your advice will ultimately help businesses use resources more effectively, and take a more strategic approach to business transformation. Being able to break down complex ideas into plain English is a must.

The qualities you'll bring

This is a consultative role – so business acumen and confident communication skills are essential. You’ll be comfortable dealing with people at a senior level and possess strong networking and influencing skills. You should be able to listen to clients, understand their issues and help turn them into achievable actions.

You’ll also be a natural team player who can recognise the skills of others. You will likely have experience in facilitating workshops and assisting companies to develop longer term strategic goals.

As around half of our clients are manufacturers, experience in manufacturing would be beneficial.

Some travel and work out-of-hours will apply, so access to a car is essential.

Please note:

1st stage interviews will take place on 24 April 19
2nd stage interviews will take place on 01 May 19
