Scottish Enterprise (SE) is Scotland’s national economic development agency. We help Scottish businesses to grow nationally and internationally, to become more efficient and innovative, and to access the intelligence they need to develop.

The difference you'll make

Scotland’s businesses need access to high quality research on everything from new export markets to in-depth analysis of industry trends. The range of enquiries can be incredible, as can the amount of effort required to prepare a response.

The end results can be just as varied as the initial enquiry - anything from a detailed email to a full report. You’ll also promote the service we offer throughout Scottish Enterprise, Highlands and Islands Enterprise and our partner organisations, helping people to understand the benefits and the possibilities.

Although you’ll often work via an account manager, you’ll also work directly with customers. All the while, you’ll make sure the data we gather and insights we glean are shared on our knowledge management system.

The qualities you'll bring

It’s likely you have a post-graduate qualification in library or information studies, as well as a first degree in a social science, information science or business subject. Indeed, it’s likely you’re already working in a similar role, perhaps in market research, a library or an information management role.

You will need flawless written skills and see complex research requests as a challenge to be solved; you’re happy working across a wide range of information resources and tools.
