Scottish Enterprise (SE) is Scotland’s national economic development agency. We help Scottish businesses to grow nationally and internationally, to become more efficient and innovative, and to access the funds they need to develop. We also attract overseas companies to invest in Scotland.

The difference you'll make

As part of our Workplace Innovation team, you’ll help Scottish companies to overcome some of the barriers to their continued growth. Working alongside SE account managers, you’ll help targeted SMEs develop creative solutions with a focus on workplace innovation and fair and progressive people practices.

You’ll help companies develop a structured action plan linked to business objectives and the effective use of workplace skills, knowledge and creativity. This might mean leadership coaching, management training, or succession planning.

This is a strategic customer-facing role, working with business owners and managers. Based in Edinburgh or Stirling, you’ll travel to meet clients at their location and at times you’ll have to work out-of-hours to attend events, so access to a car is essential.

This is a part-time 12-month contract of 28 hours per week, with a flexible work pattern.

The qualities you'll bring

You’ll probably be educated to degree level, or have an equivalent business qualification.

Whatever your academic achievements, they’ll be backed up by practical change management experience. You might currently be working in an HR role or as a consultant – either way, you will understand key organisational development issues and how they can support business growth.

A natural team player, you’ll be a good communicator and confident at networking, dealing with clients at the highest level in their organisation. If you have some knowledge of economic development that would be advantageous.
